Importance of Emotions
Carla Valencia
I would to talk about the importance of emotions. Some reasons why our emotions are important in our live are as follow:
Emotions help us to become aware of our needs.
In order to take good care of ourselves it is important that we know what are needs are. Our emotions help us to know what are needs are through what we feel. If you feel anger you know that you have to solve a problem with a situation or a person and that you must change your behavior. When you respect your needs you feel happy.
As Deepak Chopra said: Emotions are designed to ensure that we are paying attention so we can respond to what is happening around us. All emotions can be reduced to two primary feelings—those of comfort and those of discomfort. Whether or not we are aware of it, every choice we make is based upon the expectation that the choice will lead to greater comfort. The anticipated feeling drives all our choices. All emotions derive from needs. When we feel that our needs are being met, we experience feelings of comfort. The better we are at getting our needs met, the more peaceful and comfortable our lives will be.

Know what you feel to understand what you need.
Emotions are key to set boundaries.
In order to protect ourselves we have to set boundaries with other people. If you feel uncomfortable with a person , your emotion is important because it will alert you about your feeling , is a form of internal communication that help you to understand yourself. You can then take the necessary steps to protect yourself and set the necessary boundaries. In order to take care of yourself ask this questions: Are you giving up your happiness for someone else? . Do you feel frustrated in your relationships?. Do you feel guilty when you say "no"?. What makes you feel guilty when you say no or want to say no? You need to explore how you feel in your life regarding your relationships and learn to listen to what you feel.
We take our decisions based on our emotions.
If you don’t know your emotions , what you feel, you will don’t know how to take the right decisions. The decisions we take in our life's are important because they can shape our destiny. If you take a decision when you feel revenge for example, the results could be dangerous. A negative emotional state leads to a negative behavior. Have you regret any decision you have taken in the past because you did it in the wrong emotional estate?. Decisions based on fear, resentment , revenge and negativity will lead you to circumstances that you might regret later .
Emotions are store in our bodies
We have to be aware that our emotions are stored in the body. When we block our emotions, we don't feel or hold unto a bad feeling, we are damaging our health. Have you ever notice when you feel stress how your body reacts?. If you feel sadness you cry, but if you don’t do it the tears are still inside. Start observing how your emotions feel in your body and learn from popular phrases like “he is a pain in my neck”. If you are having problems with somebody , do you feel a tightness in your neck? What emotion are you storing in your neck?.
Emotions are trapped in the physical body and can…be released physically, through loud, emotive expressions. The result (is) a freer, more abundantly flowing sense of energy. Candance Pert. Author of Molecules of Emotionhttp://www.assoc-amazon.com/e/ir?t=boostyourse0d-20&l=as2&o=1&a=0671033972.
Emotion arises at the place where mind and body meet. It is the body's reaction to your mind - or you might say, a reflection of your mind in the body. For example, an attack thought or a hostile thought will create a build-up of energy in the body that we call anger. The body is getting ready to fight. The thought that you are being threatened, physically or psychologically, causes the body to contract, and this is the physical side of what we call fear. Research has shown that strong emotions even cause changes in the biochemistry of the body. These biochemical changes represent the physical or material aspect of the emotion. - Eckhart Tolle.
Emotions affect our life in general
Having positive emotions not only motivate our existence, but also give enjoyment and happiness. Our negative emotions, on the other hand, impact our lives in a negative way, that is because emotions are important.

child's behavioral problem and solution

A child whose actions are harmful, dangerous, disrespectful and difficult to control may have a behavior disorder that requires professional treatment. Also, a child should be evaluated if sudden changes in behavior have manifested alongside physical changes, such as difficulties sleeping and headaches.

PROBLEM:

Bad Behavior

Both biological and environmental factors may cause a child to develop disruptive behavior disorders, according to the Mental Health Association of Westchester. For example, children at the highest risk for Oppositional Defiant and Conduct Disorders (ODD and CD) are those who were born with low birth weights, have sustained neurological damage or have Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). Children may also have higher chances of developing behavior disorders if they were rejected by their mothers, separated from their parents, if they live in inadequate foster homes, endure abuse, witness abuse on a regular basis or live in poverty.

SOLUTION:

Parenting Techniques

The University of Michigan Health System recommends that parents help their children change unwanted behaviors by gradually altering parenting habits. For example, it recommends focusing on only one or two problem behaviors (likely, the ones that are most dangerous) rather than trying to change too much at once. It also suggests allowing children to make some of their own small decisions to give them a greater sense of power over their own lives (e.g. "Would you prefer 'X' cereal or 'Y' cereal?") Other helpful parenting techniques involve consistent praise for positive behavior to reinforce it, and consistent follow through with an established punishment---typically time-outs for younger children and revocation of privileges for older children---for every offense.

My Hopeful Thoughts

It's funny, I remember back one year when daddy had no money Mommy wrapped the Christmas presents up And stuck under the tree And said some of  were from me, Cuz daddy couldn't buy I'll never forget that Christmas I sat up the whole night crying Cuz daddy felt like a bum, See daddy had a job, but his job Was to keep the food on the table for me and mom And at the time every house that we lived in Either kept getting broken into and robbed or shot up on the block And my mom, was saving money for me in a jar Trying to start a piggy bank for me So i could go to college Almost had a thousand pesos 'Till someone broke in and stole it And I know it hurt so bad it broke my mamma's heart And it seemed like everything was just starting to fall apart Mom and dad was arguing a lot So mama moved back on to Bicol in a flat One bedroom apartment And dad moved back to the other side of Caloocan And that's when daddy went to California with his CD And met Andrew E. and flew me and Mama out to see dad, But daddy had to work, me and mama had to leave dad, Then i started seeing daddy on the TV And mama didn't like it And me and Alma were too young to understand it Papa was a rollin' stone, mama developed a habit And it all happened too fast for either one of us to grab it I'm just sorry you were there and had to witness it firsthand Cuz all dad ever wanted to do was just make us proud Now his sittin' in the empty house, Just reminiscing. Looking at our baby pictures it just trips me out To see how much we both have grown it's almost like we're sisters now Wow, guess i pretty much are and daddy's still here Alma I'm talking to you too daddy's still here I like the sound of that, hehe It's got a ring to it don't it? Shhh, mama's only gone for the moment.

HINDRANCE:
In Manila everything is payable, and as the time goes by every payable have increase; sad to see the fact that we are having a burden of an unpayable debt since our birth till our death.
SOLUTION:
Stop the corruption. stop selfishness and being hungry of over satisfaction. This discipline can help our nation change and so are we, lead to the brighter future. And my only wish is SANA  PAGGISING  NATIN  BUKAS  MAY  PAGKUKUSA  NA  TAYO.
